Tshwane FM and the Tshwane University of Technology’s (TUT) Alumni Relations Office are excited to announce the launch of a pioneering radio talk show, ‘Alumni Talk’, which is set to hit the airwaves on 7 March 2024. The talk show aims to profile exceptional TUT Alumni while discussing topics that will help listeners, academics, students and alumni to deal more efficiently with the day-to-day activities in their respective fields.

Alumni Talk will feature alumni with impressive résumés and years of experience in the corporate world nationally and internationally, to have conversations that are yet to be heard, while assisting in shaping the lives of the listeners. These talks will also advance the University vision, of being a people’s University that makes knowledge work, as well as the theme for its 20th celebrations this year - #fromGOOD2GREAT. Listeners can look forward to an immersive experience that this show will create every Thursday from 18:00 to 19:00.

Multi-talented media personality, Nhlawulo Vision Chauke (Davids), Senior Officer for Alumni Relations and Communication at TUT, will curate the show. Nhlawulo, who comes with a wealth of multimedia journalism experience has a collective eight years’ experience in journalism, general knowledge of internal and external communication, including integrated communication in a higher education environment, writing articles, photography, radio broadcasting, media relations, events and exhibitions management, development of communication strategies and operational plans, as well as the development of promotional material specifications and brand management.

Nhlawulo is no stranger to radio, he joined Tshwane FM in 2019 and was the host of the station’s weekly afternoon drive in 2020. During his last year at the station, he also hosted a breakfast show.

Tune in to Tshwane FM 93.6 and join us as we embark on a journey to bring TUT alumni back to their alma mater and take ‘Pitori to the World’ with their stories and experience.
