The finalists in the 26th National Science and Technology Forum NSTF Awards – the premier research and innovation awards in South Africa – have been announced for the 2023/2024 academic year. Eleven magnificent Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) researchers have made it into one of the toughest shortlists in the higher education sector - the NSTF shortlist. This is the shortlist of the most innovative researchers in the country.
“Their inclusion among the finalists is an acknowledgment of their individual brilliance and their commitment to the art of knowledge creation. It is also the fruit of TUT’s intentional foregrounding of impactful research and problem-solving innovation”, said Prof Maluleke, the Vice-Chancellor and Principal.
This year’s NSTF-Awards will be made around the theme of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) in South Africa (SA) and the awarding ceremony will take place on 11 July 2024.
