Vocal Art students and alumni of the Department of Performing Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design, Tshwane University of Technology, are delighted to welcome South African-born Prof Michelle Breedt, internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano and recording artist, for a series of masterclasses on 8 and 9 August 2024.
Prof Breedt will take up the position of Head of Department at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich in 2025. In addition to her acclaimed career as a performer, she is a highly accomplished vocal pedagogue.
Her expertise is so sought after that she has been asked to give masterclasses at the Holy Grail of German high culture, the internationally renowned Bayreuth Opera Theatre.
The masterclasses are held daily from 10:00 to 15:00 in the beautiful and conveniently located Miriam Makeba Hall at Unisa.
