The final leg of the Tshwane University of Technology’s (TUT) annual fundraising Golf Day will be hosted at the Woodhill Golf Estate and Country Club, on Thursday, 7 November 2024. This follows the resounding success of the Mbombela Golf Day in May this year.
The TUT Fundraising Golf Days were launched to raise funds to augment the University’s Bursary and Scholarship Fund and assist in reducing the student financial debt of students not funded by National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
“The University is encouraged to see the extraordinary goodwill of industry leaders; business; alumni; the golfing fraternity; government and the public sector towards this significant initiative to assist academically deserving students in achieving their academic goals,” said Dr Eric Pule, Advancement and Partnerships Office Director.
According to Dr Pule, the University is deeply grateful for the timely response and generous contributions. We appeal to all our stakeholders to continue supporting TUT to reach its goals in producing future-ready graduates. The funds raised will go towards students in need of laptops, e-books, and other study materials to support them in completing their studies at the University,” he continued.
Dr Pule concluded by extending an invitation to stakeholders, saying: “Interested donors, companies and individuals still have an opportunity to sponsor the golf days and promote and advertise their products or services on the golf course”
