TUT saddened by the untimely death of a student

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is in mourning.

On 23 November 2024, a humanities postgraduate student passed away at Zethushof student residence in Pretoria.

After informing the next of kin, the University continues to provide support to the family, while awaiting an official report from the South African Police Services (SAPS).

Before a detailed public announcement is made, the family is being afforded the space and time to inform one another, to process their great loss, and to prepare for the funeral.

Our deepest condolences go to the student’s family, friends and fellow students.
