The Tshwane University of Technology’s Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (FEBE) welcomed their first-year students in style at the Pretoria and eMalahleni Campuses on 8 and 9 February 2024.
Living up to the faculty’s theme: “Keep Pushing Boundaries”, Dr Grace Kanakana-Katumba, Executive Dean at FEBE spoke to the new cohorts about hard work and perseverance. “You are joining a dynamic faculty with staff who are experts in their fields. Engineers and built environment professionals are vital to our economy, communities and society at large,” she said.
She further explained that the faculty’s orientation programme introduces students to the academic, social and cultural environment at TUT.
“The orientation activities help you meet your fellow students, find your way around campus and introduce you to various services and departments on campus that are important to you as a student studying in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment,” Dr Kanakana-Katumba concluded.
