Calvin Mogajane, a visually impaired graduate with a vibrant personality from the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) believes that it is possible to achieve your dreams only when you put your mind to it. He says that being visually impaired does not deter him from fulfilling his dreams but pushes him to strive even more.

Mogajane holds a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Language Practice and is currently pursuing an honours in Other Languages: Language Practice.

A celebrated author who boasts three books under his belt, Mogajane’s debut book, "Strong Woman," paved the way for his own YouTube show titled "It takes a strong woman to forgive," under his production company, MaCullinan Production.

As he defies stereotypes associated with blindness, Mogajane is a firm believer that a bad attitude is the greatest disability in life. He was nominated at the Gauteng Disability Awards in the category of Media and Communication. In 2023, he was invited to attend the Disabilities Assistive Technologies ceremony in Nairobi, Kenya, and he will again in 2024, share insight on his journey as a writer.

In addition to his many accolades, Mogajane is a presenter of the Sunday Breeze Show on TUT FM 96.2, where he stands out for profiling legendary musicians and exploring various religions and historic events in segments like "Naa o be o tseba naa?" meaning "Did you know?"

Beyond his radio career, Mogajane is a jazz enthusiast and a talented pianist, often gracing gigs on weekends in Pretoria and Johannesburg. Reflecting on his achievements, he highlights a theatre play at the State Theatre titled "Soft Voice of a Paedophile" and a partnership with Dr Ideon Van Wyk from the campus rector's office at TUT.

Furthermore, Mogajane is gearing up for his fourth book, "I can't find my ring,” and a soon-to-be-revealed show on DSTV channel, Moja Love, as well as more exciting prospects in the world of radio.

As he continues to break barriers, Mogajane stands as an inspirational figure, proving that limitations exist only in the mind.
