- To provide innovative Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences to our students and to shape them for the 21st century World of Work.

- To provide innovative leadership and exposure to advance and empower students through agile WIL.
Values
- Continuously improve the success rate of WIL by effective implementation of student preparation, placement, mentoring, monitoring, assessment and reflection of learning by incorporating technology into the management of WIL at TUT.
- Ensure inclusion of appropriate WIL learning strategies (singly or in combination) in all TUT programmes in order to achieve exit level outcomes. (Such learning strategies include work-based learning, service learning, project-based learning, problem-based learning, etc.)
- Establish and maintain partnerships with commerce, industry, TVET colleges, Community Colleges and the community to elicit WIL placement opportunities, teacher development and future employment opportunities
- Ensure excellence of cooperative education via research and development interventions to bring about continuous quality improvement
- Educate and support students to develop the competencies required of marketable professionals
